The harvest
Earning the reward
Pistachios are ready for harvesting when the hull color turns rosy from green, and they are also easy to peel and split inside their shells. Our pistachios are usually picked in late summer.
The crops are gathered by hand, net, or some other means. In Iran, due to a lack of space between trees and rows, laborers harvest pistachio clusters by hand. Picking up pistachios, they have to be carried to factories by trucks for processing.

The processing
Sensitive phase of aflatoxin
A modern Iranian pistachio processing plant follows a precise and efficient workflow. Freshly harvested pistachios are first weighed, unloaded, and sampled. The main processing stages include hulling, water flotation for separating defective nuts, hull removal, drying (both mechanical and sun drying), and finally, primary packaging for storage and distribution.

The packing
By your order
After primary packing, the dried pistachios are transferred to the packing warehouse. Here, they are sorted and graded based on customer requirements. The warehouse is equipped with advanced machines that can open, deshell, vacuum seal, and shrink-wrap the pistachios. Finally, the products are packaged in various types and weights according to industry standards and customer specifications.
